Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Voicr macOS application ("the App"), operated by Aleksandr Shelestov PR JustOneDev ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. The Service

Voicr is a macOS menu bar application that transcribes voice input and rewrites it using AI, pasting the result directly into your active application. The App is distributed exclusively through the Apple Mac App Store.

We offer two subscription plans:

A free trial is available to new users. Features included in each plan are as described on our App Store listing and may be updated from time to time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App (or 16 years of age if you are located in certain countries within the European Economic Area). By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

The App is designed for personal and professional use on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.

4. Account and Access

Voicr does not require you to create an account. Access to the service is managed through your Apple ID and Mac App Store purchase. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device on which the App is installed.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

All subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple Mac App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings
• Billing, pricing, and renewal are handled entirely by Apple

Refunds: All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Word usage limits reset at the start of each billing period. Unused words do not carry over.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following are strictly prohibited:

6.1 API Abuse

• Sending automated, scripted, or artificially high-volume requests to our processing API
• Attempting to circumvent or exceed your plan's word usage limits
• Any action intended to degrade service quality or availability for other users

6.2 Illegal or Harmful Content

• Using the App to generate, transcribe, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or otherwise harmful
• Using the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

6.3 Reverse Engineering

• Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the App
• Attempting to extract, access, or interfere with our API endpoints, infrastructure, or services

6.4 Reselling or Redistribution

• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to the App or our API to third parties
• Offering the App's transcription or polishing functionality as part of another product or service without our prior written consent

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App — including its design, code, features, branding, and content — are owned by Aleksandr Shelestov PR JustOneDev or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for its intended purpose on your personal Mac device, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Content you create using the App — including your voice inputs, transcriptions, and notes — remains entirely yours. We make no claim of ownership over your content.

8. Third-Party Services

Voicr uses the following third-party services to deliver its functionality:

• OpenAI — for voice transcription (Whisper) and AI-powered text polishing (GPT-4o mini). Your audio and text are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI may retain API data for up to 30 days in accordance with their policies.
• Apple — for App distribution, billing, and in-app purchases.

Your use of the App is also subject to the relevant terms and policies of these third parties. We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or content of third-party services.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App's processing services in cases of:

• Clear abuse of the API or circumvention of usage limits
• Fraudulent activity, including unauthorised chargebacks or manipulation of subscription access
• Use of the App in a manner that violates Section 6 of these Terms or applicable law

Where possible, we will notify you before taking action. Suspension or termination does not entitle you to a refund; refund eligibility remains subject to Apple's refund policy.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device and cancelling your subscription through your Apple ID.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be available at all times or free from errors or interruptions
• Transcription or AI polishing results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose
• The App will meet your specific requirements

You use the App at your own risk. AI-generated output may contain errors and should be reviewed before use in any critical context.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aleksandr Shelestov PR JustOneDev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will provide notice via the App Store update notes or an in-app notification.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Serbia.

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aleksandr Shelestov PR JustOneDev regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
