Voicr 3 works without an account, subscription, usage meter, or Voicr backend. Your content stays on your Mac unless you choose a cloud AI provider. In that case, the relevant text goes directly to that provider using your own credentials; audio is never sent.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Voicr macOS application (the "App") and voicr.pro (the "Website"), operated by Aleksandr Shelestov PR JustOneDev ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App or Website, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the App or Website.
2. What Voicr Provides
Voicr 3.0 is a free macOS utility for on-device dictation, voice notes, and text rewriting. It does not require registration and does not include a Voicr account, subscription, word limit, or cloud content service.
Transcription runs on your Mac. AI rewriting is optional: you may use Apple Intelligence or Ollama locally, configure a supported cloud provider with your own credentials, or use no AI engine and insert the raw transcript.
Voicr 3 requires macOS 14 or later and an Apple Silicon Mac. Individual engines and features may have additional system requirements.
3. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App for personal or professional purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not interfere with the App or Website, use them to violate law or another person's rights, or falsely represent that you are affiliated with Voicr.
4. Your Content and Responsibilities
You retain ownership of your recordings, transcripts, notes, history, snippets, rules, corrections, prompts, and other content. We do not claim ownership of it and, while it remains on your Mac, we cannot access it.
You are responsible for the content you record or process, for having any permissions or consents required to record speech or process another person's information, and for complying with applicable law and the rights of others.
You must review transcription, translation, and AI output before using or sharing it. You are also responsible for securing your Mac, local backups, Keychain, and any API keys or credentials you add to the App.
5. Local and Cloud AI Engines
Apple Intelligence and Ollama can process text locally. If you configure a cloud AI provider and request a rewrite, you authorise the App to send the relevant text and instruction directly to that provider using the API key, credentials, endpoint, and settings you supply. The request is not routed through our server, we do not receive a copy, and the App does not send microphone audio.
Your use of Apple software, Ollama, speech models, cloud providers, or custom endpoints is also governed by their own terms, privacy policies, licences, availability, pricing, and usage restrictions. You are responsible for any provider account, permissions, usage, and charges.
We do not control and are not responsible for a third party's output, outages, model changes, security, retention, or data practices. Review the provider's documents before processing personal, confidential, or regulated information.
6. Privacy
The App has no Voicr content backend and does not send your audio or local content to us. Limited update checks, user-initiated model downloads, optional cloud-provider requests, Website traffic, and support communications are described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Updates and Availability
We may modify, update, replace, or discontinue the App, Website, compatibility, download, or features. Updates may be necessary for continued compatibility or security.
We do not guarantee that the App, Website, a local model, operating-system feature, or third-party engine will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every Mac or application.
8. Disclaimer
The App and Website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Transcription, translation, and AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable for your intended use.
Voicr is a productivity tool, not professional advice. Do not rely on its output without appropriate human review in medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes contexts.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aleksandr Shelestov PR JustOneDev will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of content, data, profits, business, or opportunity arising from the App, Website, local software, or third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the Republic of Serbia have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring a claim elsewhere that apply where you live.
11. General
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a business transfer or reorganisation.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and us concerning the App and Website.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms when the App, Website, or applicable requirements change. The revised date above shows when the current version took effect. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the App or release notes.
